Philosophy

M3DG has a broad base approach to architecture that stretches the envelope. M3DG feels that design can be a valuable tool to liberating the potential within people and communities. Properly executed design can impact and enrich the social, political and economic composition of the surrounding space.

Design Approach

M3DG utilizes a collaborative approach to the design of buildings and communities. This collaborative approach incorporates input from the various stakeholders. Stakeholders may include user (Occupancy) groups, residences, community leaders, community organization, political entities, constituencies from the business community, etc. This inclusive process during the Planning, Programming and Design Phases has helped M3DG to design facilities that reflect a vision that is inclusive; alternately, resulting in structures that fit well in the environment for which they are designed.

M3DG has a particular sensitivity to urban environments, which are in a state of transition and require design solutions intended to stimulate residents' hopes and aspirations, encourage economic development and strengthen the physical fabric of the community. We feel that design can bring light, life, color and activity to a community.

M3DG believes that architecture is more that a four dimension edifice that only addresses proportional relationships. M3DG feels that design encompasses an appreciation for height, width, depth, sound, light, smell, texture and movement.
